As I touched on briefly in my last post, I have a few new plants around the house that require my attention.
Over the days and weeks past, my personal "plant paradise" has expanded.
Including new varieties are:
Climbing Monstera, I need to research in further depth to understand it's proper care specifications and light preference.
It's funny, I just stumbled onto a photo of one of similarity online, so I did a bit of further research and it looks like it could be from the family of "Raphidophora tetrasperma".
I have a bunch of vine cuttings that are new to me, I think they may be of the goldfish plant variety but I need to examine those in greater depth as well.
I have an abundance of Wandering Jews (inch plants) all over the place right now.. I recovered a large planter of them that needed care and took about 50 cuttings from it. Most of them are submerged in water. I love the water growing lately. It's very simple but visually appealing at the same time. I love seeing plant roots submerged in the water, through the glass. The whole growing process becomes very sciencey. I love seeing changes in the plant from top to bottom. It's a full analysis and it provides me more detail and understanding than when the roots of the plants are buried in the dirt.
Sometimes I think cuttings simplify the process as well. It seems as though the plant community enjoys planting the plants to their own preference. Fair enough.
Among other new plants are 2 large ceramic planters of Chinese Evergreens.
I'm still learning their proper care regime as well. I was told they don't like too much light so I've got some downstairs where there are fewer windows.
Of course I've taken some photos as I like to document them. Plants flow in and out of the house quite frequently so when I get new ones I photograph them as often as I remember to do so.
