Samhain

Two days ago snow fell and stayed on the ground and roof over night for the first time yet this season.

The length and beauty of this past fall are both memories I look forward to reflecting on.

October has been filled with festivities and reflections.

It has been a month of Candles, oracles, and profound periods of deep thought.

I have enjoyed taking part in several different rituals and traditions and I have experienced high levels of gratitude in being able to take time to partake in these rituals and also the wonderful people I have experienced these experiences with.

The days have been filled with lists which I believe help me maximize productivity throughout the day.

So many thoughts come to mind throughout the day and it is so nice to be able to write them down and capture them on paper for later/ the right time.

The day has great significance to me and I have been taking time to enjoy it in vivid detail.

The sun beams from the sky, melting parts of snow left over from nights past.

I woke early, and read a few emails from friends and contacts.

I have been so deeply intrigued by reflections and insights.

Resources in emails led me to some new ASL teachings that I had a chance to research a bit and within a short amount of time I was highly intrigued with & by the information.

In honor of the day (kind of) I chose a Halloween ASL video to learn from.

I'm happy to say I learned how to sign: skeleton, bones, pumpkin, and the colors grey, gold, and red. Today!

Each day and week that goes towards training ads up in the long run.

It's so fun that Carly has taken an interest in signing as well. I enjoy signing with her when we have the time.

The night has wound down in a really gentle, lovely way.

I've lit candles in honor of Samhain and one smells distinctly of apple pie.

They are very warming and ambient and they remind me that is good and even natural to wind down at the end of the day and prepare for a good nights sleep.

I made a hearty dinner throughout the day of slow-cooked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and some veggies and it warmed me up so nicely upon consumption. The flavors melted in my mouth and I was so deeply satisfied with the meal.

I look forward to my head upon a soft pillow not long from now.

I've decided to attach a few photos from a former previous fall day enjoyed this season.

If your reading this, Happy Samhain to you.
