These days

It is a gift that the streets are dry and free from snow and the weather is dropping slowly, mildly.

I appreciate the slow pace in which winter has been arriving this year.

November, on the other hand, has past by very quickly.

Filled with such a wide variety of on goings and activities.

This month I've felt the changes of seasons, both inside and out.

As an additive to the seasonal changes that all who live in seasonal regions are adjusting too, politics continue to effect people everywhere, in so many ways.

I find a certain level of console in the reminder that this is universal.

There is a weight lifted in knowing I am not alone in what I am going through.

People are so powerful.

For years I've believed in string theory and the philosophy of interconnection of things and humans.

I so deeply enjoy philosophy.

I have a playlist on my iPod of philosophical mixtapes that I've named "mental massages".

It's mostly all Allan Watts and Ram Dass recordings put overtop of different inspiring music in the background. I find it highly captivating and relaxing all at the same time.

I was listening to the mixes more in September and October.

I'd like to continue the mindful habit into December and the new year.

I have two projects I have let linger on for longer than I'd like.

I have a short term goal to get them both finished in a reasonable amount of time.

They are both paint projects.

I had sort of put them away thinking that the snow would come sooner than it has.

It feels as though there is still time to complete them before winter comes, and I'd like to take advantage of that opportunity.

Paint projects are fun for me.

They're different and I like the variety they provide my day.

I've shared snippets from this set on my blog before and today I am sharing a few more.
