Yesterday, the day before, & today

This blog has been a week in writing now.

I told myself I won't move on to other tasks or goals until this has been completed.

Life's mysterious nature has crept up on me again.

The chill of the unknown.

One day things seem clear, the next blurry.

I suppose the element of surprise can often add/cause awareness and presence in situation.

It's the 18th of January.

The cool winds swept in throughout the evening last night and it's definitely chillier again this morning.

Yesterday carried a nice, encouraging consistency.

The sudden warmth melted ice on the rinks, changing plans for afternoon skating.

It was warmer than it has been. It was a gift.

An opportunity for the snow to melt on the roads was much needed and appreciated.

There was a big snowfall several weeks ago and it was not cleared from the roads. As the temperature continued to drop, the snow turned that way and it's stayed that way, apart from the days such as yesterday when the warm of the sun touches the snow and it starts to melt away.

Yesterday I brought home a beautiful, large Monstera variety that will require some attention from me later today.

I'm excited to learn how to properly propagate and care for this variety, it's a new challenge as my other philodendrons are of different variety, again.

I put chicken on the slow cooker in the morning, but by the afternoon I had changed the plans for dinner and decided to do a lasagna instead. I separated the chicken and stored it in a Tupperware in the fridge for tonight. I was thinking Ill do up a nice big chicken salad., yummy. Salad has been my fav lately.

The evening before last, the full moon bright and beautifully displayed in the sky.

The kids pointed it out to me on our way out for a skate, and for a moment, the three of us stood there in awe of its beauty. There was a wonderful bright yellow ring of light around the moon, emanating beautiful varieties of yellow tones. It was stunning.

There has been a lot of baking taking place over the past months and weeks.

I've added a new peanut butter cookie recipe to my recipe book.

I haven't met someone who doesn't like them yet ;)

I've started a collection of crochet rugs.

It's been a fun, creative endeavor for me over the past few weeks.

I've always enjoyed crocheting.

I've finished the purple/beige pattern and am on to a variety of whites, beiges, and soft teal for the next rug. It is bigger, to accommodate a variety of spaces.

I haven't decided yet, how many I will create.

I like to keep my hands busy.., it's such a great way to do that.

It feels as though they come together quite quickly.
